Lovely Wagon

Here's a sweet card for a good friend.  I used Stampin' Up's "For The Birds" stamp set for the image and colored it in.  I thought that offsetting the squares on the cloud embossing folder really made a cute look.  I used Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist for the card layers.  ~Hoppy Crafting!

Mickey Birthday

Happy 3rd birthday to a Mickey Mouse fan!  He didn't turn out too shabby, if I don't say so!  I used my Mickey Cricut cartridge to cut Mickey, and used some Sizzix Dies to cut the "#3".  After layering, adding packages and some awesome twine, I used the Stampin' Up stamp set "Itty Bitty Banners", and their coordinating die cuts "Bitty Banner Framelits" for the Happy Birthday.  I also used an embossing folder to add character to the background.  ~Hoppy Crafting!

Owl Grad!

I saw an adorable owl grad card, that my friend, Terri, had made, and I just had to scraplift it!  I had been thinking about making an owl grad for a while, but when I saw hers, I knew I just HAD to!  This card was made using several Stampin' Up punches and supplies.
I used a SU Real Red base, and layered it with Basic Black.  Then I used another piece of Read Red, and ran it through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I adhered a strip of gold cardstock over half the embossing (not SU), and started on the dimensional top layer.  I again used a Basic Black base (which has dimensionals behind it), and added the same gold cardstock, which I used Versamark and a stamp from the SU Rustic Rooster set  .  After that, I punched an owl from the SU Owl punch, and also cut wings from a scallop punch, which were then cut in half.  I sponged the owl with SU Soft Suede ink to give him some depth, and added the eyes, beak, and feet.  I cut glasses from the Cricut, and used a Stuido G stamp to make the grad hat.  I used the SU word window punch to make the diploma and drew a sprial on the top and tied a small ribbon around it.  The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black, from the SU set Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched out with the SU Word Window, and mounted on the red SU Modern Label.

Cardinal Grad!

Where I work and live, the high school mascot is a cardinal.  This year, I was asked to make a number of grad cards for different co-workers.  I came up with this awesome (if I don't say so myself,) card that would work for either gender!  I ended up making half a dozen of these for others!
For the cardinal, I used an old stamp that I had picked up a few years ago from a clearance sale.  I'm not sure who made it, but I knew it would come in handy someday!  I colored it in with Zig markers, after stamping on a Stampin' Up Labels Collection Framelit.
I used a Tim Holtz 'bubble wrap' embossing folder and tore around the sides for a more distressed look, then wrapped with twine.  I mounted it all on SU Cherry Cobbler (some on Read Red) cardstock for the base of the card.  I also used Glossy Accents/Crystal Effects on the bird eye to make it really shine.  ~Hoppy Crafting!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas one and all!  I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas together.   Here are some cards that I made using Stampin' Up "Many Merry Messages" and "Dasher" stamp sets, as well as "Petals-A-Plenty" embossing folder from SU (and Snowflakes from Cutttlebug), and some Lifestyle Crafts "Nesting Scallops" dies.  ~Hoppy Crafting!

Birdhouse

I made this birdhouse birthday card for my grandmother, who turned 90 this year.  I used a birdhouse template, stamped and colored parts of it in, then ran it through the Big Shot in a SU embossing folder. I used the bird punch to add a cute little pink bird and popped up its wing.  I also added bling for its eye.  Along the bottom, I added a satin creme ribbon, two paper flowers, and a "happy bird-day" sentiment, which was stamped and double mounted using two SU oval punches.  ~Hoppy Crafting!

Elegant Thank You

This quick and simple card was inspired by a card that my Stampin' Up friend, Deb, made.  I ran the black cardstock through my Big Shot with the Elegant embossing folder, and adhered it to a white card base. I then added some pearls where the circles were, and stamped and punched out "thanks" using the SU scalloped oval punch, and popped it up.  ~Hoppy Crafting!

"Manhattan Flower" meets "Elements of Style"

When at first I saw the Manhattan Flower embossing folder in the Stampin' Up book, I didn't even give it a second glance.  I thought "Why would I need that embossing folder?".  Then, one day, while skimming the book again (drooling and creating a new wish list), ideas started flowing, and I just HAD to have THAT folder!
Here's one of the first cards I have made, using this folder!  After embossing it on Kraft cardstock, I gently glided the raised flowers over the Early Espresso ink pad, to give the design more definition.  Then, I took the swirly stamp from "Elements of Style", and began stamping the empty spots around the flowers, as well as adding the sentiment "Life is a matter of moments".  I added ivory satin ribbon, then adhered the whole piece to a light seaside blue card base.  Finally, I added several pieces of bling under the sentiment.  I hope you like it!  ~Hoppy Crafting!

Lisa's Birthday!

I must admit, as you may have observed, I have been VERY out of the blogging world for a few weeks.  I have been super sick, and my darling kinders continue to share at will.  I have had no energy for even the simplest crafting for at least three weeks!  Imagine the torture!  I finally (after beginning a third round of meds!), drug myself to my craft room to create a birthday card for my dear friend, Lisa!
I used the Stampin' Up set Upsy Daisy, and embossed the flowers and sentiment with a lime green embossing powder.  I used the SU bird punch for the branch and leaves in the background.  The flowers and sentiment were double mounted, and popped up with foam dots.  ~Hoppy Crafting!
